Intro Blacksmithing Class - Summer 2023
This day-long beginner blacksmithing class will introduce participants to using tools effectively and the basics of forging metal. We will cover a variety of introductory blacksmithing techniques, including: tapering, shouldering, spreading, bending, curling, burnishing, riveting, and hot cutting. Two person capacity per class allows for lots of hands on learning and instruction.
Participants will complete at least two projects to bring home by the end of the class. All tools, safety gear, and materials will be provided. Long pants and close-toed shoes are required.
Classes located at Skyline Farm in North Yarmouth, Maine. Class runs from 9am to 3pm with a break for lunch. Max 2 person capacity per class, cost is per person. Reach out to book a larger class. Class can be returned for a full store credit no less than 30 days before class date.
